T-Shirts commemorating the 80th anniversary of D-Day 1944-2024:
Our 80th Anniversary D-Day Wear t shirt features our unique stylized
design wherein the Invasion Star which appeared on every vehicle that crossed
the Normandy beaches is laid on top of the Invasion stripes found on the
wings and fuselage of every aircraft that flew that historic day.
We incorporated the code names of the five beaches where the
Battle of Normandy took place the two American beaches Omaha Beach, Utah
Beach, the two British Beaches, Sword Beach, Gold Beach and Juno Beach where
the Canadians entered France on the largest amphibious invasion in Military
history. We surrounded the design by the flags that our countries fly
today.
In the middle of our commemorative 80th anniversary military t- shirt
design we featured the S.H.A.E.F insignia (S.H.A.E.F is the
acronym for Supreme Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Force the masterminds of
D-Day)
The elements presented with of the insignia are symbolic.
The primary feature is that of the flaming sword to
avenge justice, shown piercing the dark blackness of Nazi oppression. A rainbow appears
valiantly above the sword to symbolize / symbolize the hope and
contains all the colours / colors that made up the national flags of the
invading Allied Forces.
Above the rainbow is the blue marking a new day and a new beginning for
peace to come; the blue of the design carried over to the United
Nations when it was established in 1945 that is why United Nations peacekeepers
wear a powder blue beret. S.H.A.E.F is the acronym for Supreme Headquarters
Allied Expeditionary Force which was approved by General Dwight D.
Eisenhower, the then Supreme Commander for Operation OVERLORD and
came into general use in March 1944, just prior to the D-Day invasion.
Most of troops who landed on the D-Day beaches were from the United Kingdom, Canada and the U.S.A. yet other soldiers from countries such as Australia, Belgium, Czechoslovakia, Denmark, France, Greece, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway and Poland also participated in D-Day and the Battle of Normandy.

All of this appears on top of a map of the Normandy coastline showing where our great nations got their foothold into France to start the beginning of the Second World War. The map details the D-Day objective and shows where the paratroopers from the U.S. 82 Airborne Division, the British 6th Airborne Division and the Canadian 1st Parachute Battalion jumped into Normandy at D-Day minus 6 hours.
As cartoonist Charles Schulz of Peanuts fame and a World War Two veteran once said:
“I think any sensible person with a grasp of history would have to admit that D-Day was the most important day of our century.”
With our past fundraising initiatives, people have enabled us to donate over $100 THOUSAND DOLLARS of which, 54 Thousand was used to successfully commemorate the lives lost by Canadian soldiers on the beaches of Normandy during World War II. Now the fund-raising goal is focused on providing professionally trained service dogs to the members of our First Responders along with the Women and Men of the Armed Forces who suffer from P.T.S.D. We invite you to please give generously to your local Service Dogs Organizations: e.g. National Service Dogs which will complement funds raised here.
