Military Clothing Sales: About D-Day Wear
D-Day Wear is a Commemorative Military clothing brand that started 20 years ago when the Juno Beach Center opened in Normandy, France. At that time, they said you could buy a name plaque for your Dad or Granddad if they crossed the beach and we thought what about the Kids who never had Kids that never came off the beach sixty years earlier, who was going to honour them?
That is why D-Day Wear was created and that is what we did. Over the years, our customers enabled us to donate over $54 thousand to the center. We participated in getting every fallen Canadian hounoured with their name beach where they died. Through the sales of our unique Military / Army t-shirts.
We have since switched direction and now focus on promoting awareness and funds to provide Veterans and First Responders suffering from P.T.S.D. with professionally trained service dogs. This will help them overcome the unseen wounds of war and the psychological distress due to the job stress they endure from repeated exposure to traumatic events.
We’ve dealt with the past, now we are dealing with the present, so that people can have a future.
To complement our new fundraising initiative, we have released a song and video called “This Flag Flies Free” which was written by D-Day Wear’s Founder and President Joe Wilson. The song was recorded by an Iraq war Veteran from Mississippi named Chas Evans (Music for my lyrics) and the video for the song was produced by Marine Veteran Chris Nobles (MMIT Design) from Lexington, SC. Chris did two tours in Iraq.
The goal of the song is to raise $1,000,000 for P.T.S.D. / P.T.S.S. So. Please do listen to the song and download it for a price of a cup of coffee
You can check out the song here www.thisflagfliesfree.com . To date, our customers have enabled us to donate over $98,175 to various organizations through the sale of our unique commemorative military clothing brand and for that, we thank you.
