This Canadian-made King Fashion garment is 95% cotton and 5% polyester, with a 15 oz. weight; it is doubled needled stitched with 2x1 ribbing (95%cotton & 5% Lycra®) on the collar, cuffs and around the waist.  A double-hooded sweatshirt with set-in sleeves and has matching draw cords plus is CUSMA-friendly.

As commemorative hoodies the WW2 military-themed clothing features a stylized D-Day design which includes the Invasion Stripes, (right down to the rivets) complete with the following features:

Laid on top of the Stripes, one sees the Invasion Star which incorporates the five beaches of Normandy from the D-Day Invasion on June 6th, 1944 (Omaha Beach, Utah Beach, Sword Beach, Gold Beach and Juno Beach).  In the center of the Invasion Star you will find the SHAEF insignia, surrounded by the flags of the countries that had the largest impact on the greatest amphibious invasion in history. 

The center of the design on this commemorative military clothing hoodie features the insignia  for the Supreme Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Force (SHAEF) which was approved by General Dwight D. Eisenhower, Supreme Commander for Operation OVERLORD, and came into general use in March 1944. 

Each element of the insignia is symbolic. The main feature is the flaming sword of avenging justice, shown piercing the black of Nazi oppression. Above the sword is a rainbow, the symbol of hope, it contains all the colours / colors that made up the national flags of the invading Allies. The majority of troops who landed on the D-Day beaches were from the United Kingdom, Canada and the USA. However, soldiers from many other countries also participated in D-Day and the Battle of Normandy: Australia, Belgium, Czechoslovakia, Denmark, France, Greece, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway and Poland. 

Then above the rainbow is the blue marking a new day and a new beginning for peace to come; the blue of the design carried over to the United Nations when it was established in 1945 that is why United Nations peacekeepers wear a powder blue beret.

The hood features the D-Day Wear® logo.  Our logo done in red, white and blue, signifies a red maple leaf for Canada, a white crown for Great Britain and a blue Star for the U.S.A. During World War II all those colours / colors appeared in the flags the countries fought under.
