Made in Canada, the King Fashion two-toned Full Zip Hooded sweatshirts features a stylized embroidered design which includes the Invasion Stripes (right down to the rivets).

Each of the full-zippered hoodies has the D Day Wear stylized unique design wherein the Invasion Star is laid on top of the stripes and which incorporates the codenames of the five beaches: Omaha Beach, Utah Beach, Sword Beach, Gold Beach and Juno Beach, that were where the Battle of Normandy took place, aka the D-Day Invasion of June 6 1944.

On the front center of the hoodie in the middle of the design of this commemorative military clothing is featured the SHAEF insignia which is surrounded by the flags of the countries that had the largest impact on the greatest amphibious invasion in history. 

The elements presented with of the insignia are symbolic. The primary feature is that of the flaming sword to avenge justice, shown piercing the dark blackness of Nazi oppression. A rainbow appears valiantly above the sword to symbolize / symbolize the hope and contains all the colours / colors that made up the national flags of the invading Allied Forces. 

Most of troops who landed on the D-Day beaches were from the United Kingdom, Canada and the USA yet other soldiers from countries such as Australia, Belgium, Czechoslovakia, Denmark, France, Greece, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway and Poland also participated in D-Day and the Battle of Normandy.

Above the rainbow is the blue marking a new day and a new beginning for peace to come; the blue of the design carried over to the United Nations when it was established in 1945 that is why United Nations peacekeepers wear a powder blue beret. S.H.A.E.F is the acronym for Supreme Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Force which was approved by General Dwight D. Eisenhower, the then Supreme Commander for Operation OVERLORD and came into general use in March 1944, just prior to the D Day invasion.

The hood features the D-Day Wear® logo.  Our logo done in red, white and blue to signify the red maple leaf for Canada, the white crown for Great Britain and for the U.S.A. the blue Star. During World War 2 all those colours / colors appeared in the flags the countries fought under.
