Lambswool is considered the highest quality of sheep's wool on the market. Taken from a sheep at its first shearing, lambswool is incredibly soft, smooth, resilient and has superior elasticity. The unique weaving process generates air pockets that retain heat while preventing moisture. Along with being natural, breathable and hypoallergenic, our lambswool can be worn comfortably against the skin.

D-Day June 6, 1944 was the largest amphibious invasion in the history of warfare. It brought together the Air, Sea, & Land forces from the United Kingdom, Canada & the United States during WWII. The operation, code-named Overlord, delivered five naval assault divisions to the beaches at Normandy in Northern France facing a line of impregnable fortifications, Hitler’s Atlantic Wall. By days end, some 156,000 Allied soldiers landed on the beaches. The Battle of Normandy lasted 85 days (2 months, 3 weeks & 3 days) it was the beginning of the end of WWII, some 336 days later.

This tartan reflects that historic event! The thread within the tartan weave represents the date of D-Day 06-06-19-44 with 05 representing the 5 beaches where 1449 British, 359 Canadians & 2501 U.S. Soldiers gave their ultimate sacrifice so that we may have the freedoms we enjoy today.

This special tartan’s thread count represents the date of D Day - 06-06-44. The number 05 symbolizes the five beaches where 1449 British, 359 Canadian, and 2501 U.S soldiers made the ultimate sacrifice, so we may enjoy the freedom we have today.

Design Significance:
- Red, White, and Blue: Mirroring the colours of the flags our great nations fought under during that historic event.

- Green and Yellow Lines: Representing the Red Ensign, Canada’s flag from 1922-1957.

- Black Lines: Symbolizing the dignity and honour of the brave men and women who laid down their lives. It was also utilized to openly show Sadness, Grief & mourning in death, which are some of the hardest emotions for people to endur
e.

This scarf is more than a piece of clothing; it’s a tribute to the courage and legacy of those who fought for our freedom!
